“MEN Speak the Unspeakable”
by Michael Elias and Edward Seeker
A book that purports to “bring brotherhood to men, insight to women and permission to ‘be’ to anyone on a path to self-discovery” is setting itself up for a mighty fall. Essentially the transcripts of frank conversations between the two authors on sex, family and relationships, the distilled wisdom could be edited into substantially less than the 500+ pages presented here. Some chapters, such as Intimacy and Wanking yield insightful and often funny observations while others seem to read more like Beavis & Butthead. However, the authors’ sincerity comes across well and credit is due for tackling a challenging if ambitious work.
