“MEN Speak the Unspeakable”

By Michael Elias and Edward Seeker

Our book of the month for July is a truly fascinating read. Described by the authors bringing “brotherhood to men, insight to women and permission to ‘be’ to anyone on a path of self-discovery.”

An incredibly frank read, this book is openly sexual and contains strong language. It is not for the faint-hearted or easily offended and has an 18 Certificate.

“Who are our positive male role models? Does anyone know what roles we’re supposed to play? No! Because ‘all men are… bastards, bullies, wimps, unavailable, Mummy’s boys, abusers, abandoners, stupid, useless, lazy, only want one thing!’ Think of one positive term people use. Does anyone like men? Do we like us? That’s where the book came from. We needed to turn into men. We didn’t know how.” (co-author Mickey Elias in the ‘Big Issue’)

Shameless male dialogue with heart, soul and more. The authors reveal their shocking dark thoughts and impulses and hilariously bare their souls into a Dictaphone, as they turn from angry whingeing blaming boys, into more aware, self-respecting men.
